What is Disco?

Disco is a real-time recognition tool that helps celebrate, socialize, and reinforce behaviors that build an intentional culture around appreciation.

Giving kudos

Use Disco by typing “@Disco kudos @teammate and the awesome thing they did” in any channel.

Or you can give kudos via a form in any channel or chat by pinning Disco.

Tagging values

Tag values by pressing "Add values" and Disco will accumulate all reactions and values added to a kudos.

You can create team level values like “Design principles” or “Engineering values”.

To send a compliment visit the
Disco home tab, and just tap “Compliment someone”.

How do I invite Disco to channels?
You can invite Disco to public and private channels via the “/invite @disco” command in the channel you intend to use Disco in.
How do I tag kudos with values?
After you give kudos, Disco will reply to your message with a button to add values. Here’s a tutorial on how to do it.
Where are our values?
You can view your company values on the Disco website under the Values tab or in Slack by asking “@Disco what are our values?”
Can anyone see kudos sent in private channels?
Depending on your team settings, kudos from private channels may be shared to a default channel and sent to the administrative dashboard.
How do I view my kudos?
You can access the leaderboard, dashboard, and profile by navigating to a Slack DM with Disco, clicking on “Home tab”, then clicking login. You can also press here
How do I view my teams kudos?
First, set up a user group for your team, then you can filter the data on the dashboard by your team.
Who can see the Pulse survey results?
Pulse surveys results are always anonymous. Disco administrators can see aggregated results on the dashboard.

How do I pin Disco?
Pinning Disco makes it easier to give kudos. You can pin Disco to your compose bar by clicking “Pin Disco” after someone gives kudos or follow this tutorial.
Where are our values?
You can view your company values under the values tab or by typing “@Disco values” in a DM with Disco or in a team Disco is in.
How do I tag kudos with values?
After you give kudos, Disco will reply to your message with a button to add values. Here’s a tutorial on how to do it.
How do I invite Disco to teams?
Once Disco is added to a team, you can use it in any channel under that team. To add Disco to new teams, within Microsoft Teams → navigate to the app store → search for Disco → in the modal, click the arrow next to “open” → Click “Add to a team”
How do I view my kudos?
Press the ••• in your left navigation and select Disco from the dropdown, then press the dashboard tab. Or Find Disco in your chats within Microsoft Teams.
Can I give kudos in private chats?
Yes, giving kudos via mentioning the bot or the pin action, will invite Disco to the chat and post your kudos.
How do I view my teams kudos?
